Book Review: The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy

The title and book cover of this book instantly caught my attention while I was perusing books at the library. As a Southern girl, I always fancy myself a little bit like Cinderella (of course!). She’s probably my favorite Disney princess, so if there is a way to have a bit of the Cinderella fantasy in life, I was intrigued. Unfortunately, this book fell a little short for me.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I have to be admit that I feel a little silly being an adult and having read this book. I was entertained in a total teen fiction sort of way. I think preteens would really enjoy this book. It has definite strong “girl power” undertones, and I’m all for encouraging girls to become strong, kind, intelligent women. This book is about a worldwide secret women’s society that concerns itself with the mean girls of high school. It’s entertaining.
